Will This Ever Finish?

I can't believe that I had to undo the top of the hat again (from the white lifeline). I only had the last stitches on the needles, ready to sew the thread through, but we decided that it was still too short. A had asked if it was ready so he could wear it, but I had wanted him to try it on, just to be sure, before finishing it off. Well at least if I make him another one I probably won't have to undo any of it. I wish I had thought of a top down hat before starting this.
